Zontiga (@zontiga @zontiga.kl) and Libro Arte (@libroarte_) are excited to announce the Japanese Photobook Exhibition at GMBB (28 - 30 June 2024)! The three-day Japanese Photobook Exhibition will feature more than 50 photobooks from renowned and upcoming photographers, acquired from several independent publishers from Japan. Japan’s photobook history dates back to the early 1900s, during a century of rapid change within the country. Today, the Japanese photobook industry continues to thrive with photographers choosing it as their format of choice to present their works, whilst incorporating great design sense and innovation. As such, the photobook has gone beyond being merely a book containing photographs, but could also be considered a work of art. The Japanese Photobook Exhibition promises to be an eye-opening experience for professional and amateur photographers, visual artists, designers, and Japanese art and culture enthusiasts.
