INFO:
Maternity Leave in Japan is separated into two parts, starting 6 weeks before the expected due date and ending 8 weeks after birth. During this period, employees will receive 2u002F3 of the base salary. I chose to work up until the day before my son was born which is why I’m only getting around to doing this now. In addition to these 8 weeks, I’ll also be receiving another 8 weeks of paid leave provided by my company for a total of 16 weeks. I’m soaking up every minute of this time with my little boy!
